The Objectives of SOPO
To create and develop a professional procurement community for Local Government
To provide a single voice on procurement matters and influence the national agenda(s)
To develop,share and disseminate best practice and support our members to achieve Procurement Excellence
To promote working together
To provide leadership and capacity building and help our members to develop their skills
To support the procurement community to reduce costs and deliver efficiency in everything they do.
The National Executive Committee (NEC) has developed an Action Plan which sets out a number of Strategic and Operational key actions to support these Objectives.
Progress made against each of the key actions will be reviewed at NEC meetings.
Minutes of each NEC meeting will be uploaded onto the Members area of the new site during Phase 2 of the development.
